We recently visited The Cave at Warwick University, an immersive, virtual reality 3D suite. The project is a joint collaboration between universities and local business groups with the commercial aim of saving on the cost of research and development. The computer automated virtual environment allows, for example, automotive companies such as JLR to investigate digital models from multiple angles.
It was used by our client, Premier Group, during the engineering stage of the London Olympic torch and its subsequent manufacture.
